OUR ROOTS GO BACK TO 1930. IN THAT YEAR, THE FIRST GENERATION OF BAKKER STARTED A FORGE IN VOORTHUIZEN.

From an old welding machine at the entrance to horseshoes in the office; There are reminders of that rich history everywhere, and Bakker Machinebouw still has a local function. You can visit the counter on Tuesdays and Fridays, for a custom adapter or cutting a sheet, for example.

We don’t earn our living that way, but returns are not the only thing that matters. We are proud of our roots and the connection with Voorthuizen. It is part of the identity of our company and that is why we maintain that service.

At Bakker we take our social responsibility in various ways

We purchase locally and regionally as much as possible. This applies to services and materials.

We sponsor a number of local associations such as the football association (VVOP) and activities of the local churches.

We are a partner at the BTO (the Barneveld technology training course) and have students who follow the training with them.

We support a number of charities that offer prospects to underprivileged adults and children and that actively combat poverty and slavery.

Together we consciously contribute to a better climate and help to solve the growing hunger problem in Africa. The Tree of Life foundation does this by training poor farmers in Malawi, among others.
